Eligibility & Admission Process at Symbiosis Institute of Business Management

Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune conducts a systematic and holistic admission process for its various management programs, mainly the MBA and Executive MBA courses. Here are the eligibility criteria and an admission process for prospective students.

Eligibility Criteria

MBA (Full-time):

  • Bachelor's degree from a recognized university with a minimum aggregate of 50% (45% for SC/ST candidates).
  • Even final-year students are eligible, provided they meet all the eligibility criteria by the time of admission.

MBA (Innovation & Entrepreneurship):

Equivalent to the full-time MBA program, with the eligibility requirement of a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% marks.

MBA Executive:

A bachelor's degree with at least 50% aggregate is a necessity. A minimum of two years of relevant work experience is also a requirement.

Admission Process

  • Step 1: SNAP Registration

For that purpose, one has to register for the Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP), which is the entrance examination for the SIBM Pune.

  • Step 2: Application to SIBM Pune

The applicants who have applied under SNAP are further required to apply specifically for SIBM Pune by downloading the application form from their official website.

  • Step 3: Entrance Exam

The SNAP test is multiple-choice on a variety of topics. Scores obtained by students in the SNAP exam will qualify the students for the next rounds of selection.

  • Step 4: Selection Rounds

Eligible candidates as per the scores will be shortlisted and called for further selection rounds, which comprise:

  2. Personal Interview
  3. Written Ability Test

Final selection will be done based on total performance across the above components, with the following weightage.

  1. SNAP Score: 50%
  2. Group Exercise: 10%
